So, if you are on a ship, you have to wait until you change duty stations. I know NCTS and NCTAMS are currently making the pin mandatory. The good news is that YNs, MAs, PNs, and other rates stationed at communication stations are able to earn a communication warfare pin that they wouldn’t be able to get any where else.
